3 Things Needed for Genuine Personal Growth, Spiritual Growth and Inner Development
ARE PERSONAL GROWTH, SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND INNER DEVELOPMENT IMPORTANT TO YOU?
If you want to genuinely grow and develop yourself personally and so upgrade your quality of life there are three core things you need to do:
1) Develop the eyes to gather the self-knowledge you need to identify the conditioned patterns and programs that keep you stuck in a surface identity that’s too small for who you truly are
No one grows by merely learning the “Secret” and trying to “Attract” abundance, success or happiness. The muses are not entertained by such folly and the gods even less so. You need to realize that deep personal and spiritual growth requires focused hard work.
And you need to offer yourself the friendship and generosity required to hold course with a tender heart during the inevitable tough and confusing times.
THE ART AND SCIENCE OF DEEP CHANGE AND GROWTH
2) Discover and use the knowledge and tools you need to learn how to become free from these conditioned patterns and programs.
This is a labor of love and inspiration. The ancient alchemical formula goes like this: First you discover what you don’t want to know about yourself (i.e. what’s, at first, uncomfortable to see). Then you work to develop increasing degrees of freedom from what you’ve discovered. Then, and only then, do you create the conditions you need to come Home to who you deeply are.
There is an art and science to doing this, one you can learn for great benefit. Beware of short cuts, including trying to wax a dirty floor with spiritual practices—or with following someone or with woo woo of any kind.
LIVING WITH AWAKENED INTENTION AND LOVE
3) Discover, refine and focus your intent, purpose and love and then marry them—just dating won’t do.
Every soul has a destiny, one that lays buried deep behind our surface self-image, our family and cultural conditioning, our emotional confusion and the whacko assumptions about reality we’ve downloaded from the thick cloud of social consciousness all around us.
Until you come Home to yourself, you live from conditioned appetites and from what you feel you must or should do. Once you come Home—then the spark of your destiny can light a fire within your life, a fire that reveals and fuels your signature purpose and passion.
When you live from your intent and love, then you can craft an inspired life of adventure, a life that can be well-lived, loved and understood.
